Old-school finds.
Stories worth keeping.
Vintage layers. Everyday staples. Unexpected gems.
A little history. A little character. A new home with you.
New stories.↗
Help build our first community of sellers. Start with three things you’re ready to pass on, then share your listings with friends. Free to list; 10% selling fee plus payment-processing fees when it sells. Everyone is welcome—20 is our launch goal, not a limit.
One good find can bring someone new.
Open any marketplace listing to share its direct link or download a promotional image with the item photo and price. Sellers: share your finds in videos, messages and communities that welcome selling posts.

A box of possibilities.
Clear a little space. Give someone a fresh start. Offer a box of clothes, kitchenware, appliances or mixed household finds—without listing every item inside.
Find a box. Make it useful.
My boxes & requests
Check here for new requests and accepted boxes. Contact details are shared privately: your request contact goes to the donor; the donor’s contact appears after acceptance. We don’t send email notifications.
Requests
One box. A second chance.
Choose a broad category, describe the overall condition and size, and say how the box can travel. A full inventory or photo is not required. Recipients request the whole box; donors choose a recipient and arrange the handoff privately.
Share known damage or nonworking appliances. Only offer clean, safe items you own. No recalled products, hazardous materials, food, medicine or prohibited goods. Don’t put addresses in public descriptions. For shipping, the donor covers postage or the recipient supplies a prepaid label after agreeing on weight and dimensions. There is no shipping checkout here.
This is a community exchange, not a verified charity directory. Charity claims are self-described. No tax receipt is issued by the site. Get help or report a box by emailing its box ID to support.

A note from John.
I’m John Rizo, the founder of Fresh Out the Attic. I started this space with a simple idea: something you no longer need could be exactly what someone else is looking for.
Here, you can sell a find, shop secondhand, or give a box of useful things away. Clothes, kitchenware, household items—there’s more than one way to make room and help something stay in use.
We’re a growing, independent online marketplace welcoming people across the United States. We’re building our community one honest listing and one handoff at a time.
Start your shop ↗ Give a boxReal people.
Seller profiles show their public name, join date, current finds and customer reviews. We don’t invent ratings or testimonials.
Clear expectations.
Read the actual item’s description and condition. Sellers pack and ship their own items. Stripe handles checkout; payment setup is not an endorsement of a seller.
A way to give.
Our Donation Center connects donors with recipients. We do not operate a physical drop-off center. Free boxes and optional support for site running costs are separate.

Shipping, returns & community rules ↗Real purchases. Honest feedback.
Reviews are submitted by buyers after confirmed delivery of a live purchase, one review per order. They describe an individual experience, not a guarantee. To report a review, email support with the item title and review text.
From your closet
to their next chapter.
Tell its story.
Add a clear photo, an honest description, its condition, and a price. Save a draft or add it to the storefront.
Find its person.
Browse independent sellers. When checkout is available, pay securely through Stripe. No cash transfers or off-platform payment requests.
Send it onward.
U.S. sellers ship their own items and add tracking in Orders. Seller verification through Stripe is required before accepting orders.
A clear price, from the start.
Our selling fee is 10% of the item price, excluding shipping and tax. Payment-processing fees are deducted separately from seller proceeds. Shipping collected is allocated to the seller; tax is not seller earnings. Seller funds will be released after delivery confirmation, subject to payment clearance and any open issue. Bank arrival takes additional time. Checkout availability is shown on each item. Listing items is free.
Keep the good finds good.
List only items you own and can legally sell. Use your own photos and disclose wear or damage. No counterfeits, recalled products, weapons, adult items, medicine, food, live animals or personal data. Report anything that doesn’t belong.
Your information
Signing in saves your name, email and visit dates for your account and the owner’s private dashboard. Your seller display name, join date, published listings and purchase reviews are visible to store visitors. Email addresses are not displayed in the storefront. Review text, rating, item title and date are public; reviewers’ email addresses and order identifiers are not. Avoid personal information in reviews.

A place for selling. A place for giving.
| What matters | Marketplace | Donation Center |
|---|---|---|
| What you offer | An individually described item at your price | A free box with its general category and condition |
| Cost | Free to list; 10% selling fee plus processing | No item price or platform donation-box fee |
| Getting it there | Seller ships with tracking | Arrange pickup or shipping with the donor; any label cost is stated in the offer |
| Who chooses | A buyer purchases an available item | The donor accepts a recipient; requests are not a guarantee |
A few things worth knowing.
Is this only for New York?
No. The marketplace welcomes U.S. buyers and sellers. Donation pickup depends on the box location; shipping options are shown on each offer.
What do I pay when I sell?
Listing is free. On a $30 item, the 10% selling fee is $3, leaving $27 before payment-processing fees. Shipping collected is allocated to you; tax is not earnings. Delivery confirmation, payment clearance and open issues affect release; bank arrival takes additional time.
What if something goes wrong?
Use Report a problem in Orders and email support with the order number and photos. Missing, damaged or misdescribed orders are reviewed individually. Don’t confirm delivery before receiving the item or send a return without instructions. Read the returns process.
Can I trust a seller’s rating?
Only a buyer with a delivered live order can submit its review. New sellers may have none yet. Reviews are personal experiences; neither a rating nor Stripe setup guarantees an item’s quality.
Do donation boxes have a full inventory?
No. Donors give a general description, category and overall condition. Contents vary. Known damage must be disclosed; prohibited or unsafe items do not belong. Ask the donor about suitability before arranging collection.
Where does the PayPal support go?
Optional PayPal contributions support running this site. They are separate from giving a box. We do not represent them as tax-deductible charitable donations.
Do I have to share my home address publicly?
No. Donation listings show city and state, not a street address. Contact details are shared through the request and acceptance process; arrange pickup privately. A buyer’s shipping address is provided to their seller for fulfillment.
Your store at a glance.
Who’s finding the Attic?
Your signed-in owner visits and excluded devices are not counted. Signing in as owner removes previous activity tracked from that browser. Use the exclusion control in Privacy on each additional browser or device. Private browsing and cleared cookies need exclusion again.
Where visitors come from
Make a shareable tracking link
Use a separate source for each place you share. Existing links still work; referrals may appear as direct if the source app hides them.
Recent outside activity
Last 100 events within 30 days. Anonymous browser counts, not identities. Known bots are filtered, but automated traffic and blocked tracking can affect totals. We count arrivals that load the site, not clicks that never reach it.

Privacy at the Attic.
Visitor analytics & your browser
We record anonymous visits, page views and public navigation clicks to understand how people find the site. A random browser cookie and session identifier group activity; we record referral domains and campaign labels, not full referral URLs, IP addresses or personal identities in analytics. Records expire after 30 days. The owner alone can see the reports. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.
Use this on each of your devices to keep your own visits out. This also removes earlier tracked activity associated with this browser.
Fresh Out the Attic stores your sign-in identifier, name, email, account dates, listings, photos, reports and order records to operate the marketplace. Published listings and seller names are public. Donation box descriptions, general locations and donor names are public. Donation requests and contact details are stored privately and shared with the donor; donor contact is shared with the accepted recipient. Drafts are available to their seller and the store owner.
Payment details are entered on Stripe. We store payment identifiers and order status, not your full card number. Your shipping details are shared with the seller of your paid order for fulfillment. The owner can manage orders and support requests.
Saved finds are stored in this browser. Hosting and payment providers process information needed to operate the service. Contact nycpinstripeclub@gmail.com for access, correction or deletion requests. Transaction records may need to be retained for refunds, disputes and recordkeeping.
Shipping & support.
Shipping your finds
U.S. shipping only. Each seller sets a shipping charge shown before checkout, packs the item and supplies carrier tracking in Orders. Contact support if tracking is missing or your delivery is delayed. Confirm receipt only after the item arrives.
An issue with an order?
Use Report a problem in Orders and email nycpinstripeclub@gmail.com with your order number, the problem and relevant photos. Do not email card details. Reporting an issue places the order on hold for review. Do not return an item until support provides instructions.
Refund requests for missing, damaged or misdescribed items are reviewed individually. A refund is not guaranteed by submitting a report. Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method; processing times depend on Stripe and your bank.
Marketplace rules
Use the service only if you are at least 18. Sellers must own their items, describe them accurately, disclose defects and fulfill paid orders. No counterfeit, stolen, recalled or prohibited items. The owner may remove listings that violate these rules. The selling fee is 10% of the item price; payment-processing fees are separate. Funds are eligible for release after buyer-confirmed delivery, payment clearance and resolution of any open issue.
